The circuit consists of prestigious amateur races that combine a passion for cycling with the values of inclusion and innovation: every athlete, regardless of age, gender, or ability, has the opportunity to fully develop their potential. The RWS promotes equal opportunities, diversity among participants, and the use of innovative technologies within the world of cycling.
The RWS was created to connect recumbent cycling communities from around the globe, building a network of events designed to promote and spread recumbent cycling. At each stage, the World Series brings together sport, inclusion, and passion, transforming every race into a celebration of the freedom to cycle in a different way.
The circuit aims to discover and reward new talent, serving as a springboard for those who aspire to international recognition within the recumbent cycling landscape.
Each stage of the circuit represents an opportunity to showcase local regions, integrating sport, tourism, and local culture.
In the week leading up to the Granfondo La Fausto Coppi, participants can take part in a week-long cycling program across the Cuneo area—running from the Monday to the Friday before the race (organized in collaboration between RWTA, Slyway, and the Recumbent Cycling Academy).

37 years after its first edition, the 2026 Granfondo Fausto Coppi hosted a stage of the international Recumbent World Series circuit.
Among the participants was Stefano Bonazzoli, an ambassador for the “Recumbent World Tour Alliance” organizing committee, who tackled the Granfondo’s long course—170 km with over 4,000 meters of elevation gain—on a recumbent bicycle, completing it in 7 hours and 13 minutes.
